I was asked about my decision to petition my way on the ballot versus going through the assembly. Petitioning for anything whether it be a ballot measure or otherwise is hard work especially in the late winter in Colorado but it was the decision I made so that I could go out and meet the people of Park County. I was required to turn in 198 valid Republican signatures, I turned in 271. To gain those 271 signatures over 6 weeks I talked to at least 350 people and knocked on 400 doors, it was a great experience. I learned about our residents' concerns, I listened to stories from years gone by and I met and talked to some former county commissioners. It was a great experience and I would not change a thing!
