To see if the BOCC will approve the use of taxpayer funds to buy $100,000 toilets for United States Forest Service land tune in today at 9:30 am.
Here is the PURPOSE of the Land and Water Trust Fund, this is a 1% sales tax approved by Park County voters:
"Founded in 1998, the Park County Land and Water Trust uses revenues derived from a 1% sales tax to preserve, protect, acquire, improve, and maintain Park County’s remaining water resources as well as lands in Park County containing water rights and resources. Beginning in 2019, the sales tax revenue use was expanded to include to preserve, protect, acquire, lease, improve and cover maintenance of water rights, water systems/structures, open space, and wildlife and outdoor recreation resources." (my underline).
With the purpose in mind do you think these funds should be used for toilets and ADA fire rings/picnic tables off of PARK COUNTY property?
